Chance Chaos at the Adventuredome

Today I was at work and saw them bring in the main ride arm. Looks like as soon as that is fixed in place the part of the ride that spins will be next. Our Chaos is a teal with purple railing, and orange? steps, yuck. Currently the cars are sitting behind the dome in crates waiting for everything else to be assembled. More information to come.

When will it open because I am going in April and I want check it out.

Cool. What would one of those cost?

I still think a Wipeout would have been better. Its a lower hight restriction and some people just don't like to go upside down. The Adventuredome has an Inverter BTW if you don't know. A more family oriented ride would have been a better choice in my opinion.

The Choas was $395,00 new in 1996. About $450,000 now. They are taking alot of time with this ride. We had ours up in about 4 hours.

john peck is right. The place is geared to families. The little kids and many parents won't ride a Chaos. They could've made a better choice.

Chaos is a very popular ride. It looks a lot worse and dizzying than it really is. There is more trouble with people losing stuff in their pockets, than the stuff in their stomaches. The height restriction is 48 inches and a lot of kids get on and enjoy it, some even more than their parents.

A little off subject but I didn't know anyone else from this site was from vegas because I am too.

Actually the reason why its taking so long is becasue there was a lot of prep work that went into making this ride fit. As you know it is an indoor theme park. First, they had to take a out a large area that housed the main dinosaur habitat with all of those big animatronic dinosaurs. Next they had to get rid of all the rockwork and plants that surrounded them. Finally they had an open canvas. Since them construction has moved quickly. Because our park is elevated 20 feet off of the ground on an 18" thick base they couldnt put the ride into the ground so a platform was built about 6 feet off the ground. So a lot of work has gone into this ride. If you would have seen what the area looked like before now you would see what i mean.

I agree with John in that a wipeout would have been better, as with a host of other choices of rides. With chaos we will have 3 looping rides, thas a bit much for a small park like this.

Anyways, the park plans to open Chaos the first week in April the week before we get out of school for spring break here in Las Vegas.

Oh and yes people do like in vegas, and i dont live in a hotel, ugh tourists!

...and when i meant 6' off the ground, i meant off of the dome's base.

Today, i was at work again and they have added the spokes for the spinning portion of the ride. the cars have been moved up to the dome's deck waiting for the spokes to be secured. More info to come. Also i was wrong about 6'. The platform is 4'6" off of the ground.
