Have you noticed no security guards at PKI?

Through my observations at PKI, I havent seen that many security guards. I know that their are some, but not in vast numbers. And the park is pretty much clear of vandalism, ect. wierd

I have seen security guards at PKI. But the reason that you may not see much is that they have a lot of security cameras throughout the park. If you look for those cameras you will find that they are placed in very obvious places (besides on the lift hills and other varoius parts of the coasters.)

No security guards at PKI? Well, that's because we are more civilized than other parks!!

Security is always around. Most of the time you can't see them(undercover, ect)but they ARE there. If the place looked like an armed camp, nobody would want to go. Just remember, that guy next to you in line with shorts and sunglasses could be a cop, so always think twice before engaging in questionable behavior.

I've NEVER seen a fight break out or anything extreme going on at PKI to need a ton of security. Hopefully they can speed up the SOB line a little this year so people don't get a chance to carve their names on the queue bridge.

A lot of parks today have more plain clothes officers than uniformed. This was a practice started by Disney. There is just enough uniforms out there to make their presence known without being being intimidating. The plain clothes officers come into play whenever it is necessary. Some parks have their own police depts. fully creditialed and recognized by the state.

I do know that PKI has their own police department. I always see the cruiser patroling the parking lot when the park closes.

Can you take me higher? (CREED)

Some times you'll see them in regular PKI gear - slacks and a white PKI polo. They always have a radio with an extension.

I saw a couple of them with a lady who had lost her child. Apparently her boyfriend was supposed to be watching the kid, but he thought that the kid was with its mom. She was going psycho - punching him, kicking him, yelling the most profane stuff. The guards had to hold her back. He finally said "I can't take this (expletive)," and walked out of the park. I never heard anything about it on the news, so they must have found the kid.

Thought I'd share that.
