I am going to be at Celebration City in exactly one week, and day and I was wondering if JR would possibly be open. I'm hoping so since I have ridden Scandia Screamer and loved it and I thought these looked like fun. Thanks

Thanks, I hope it is. Screamer in the front is one wild ride, with about 4 great pops of air, and JR looks like it would be as good.

Nope, I can't make it this year because of a wedding that I have to attend in Witchita, KS. However while I am there, I plan to go to Joyland and take pictures for the MIG gallery. Now sure if I am going to SDC/CC on Thursday after all. I might be going somewhere else.

Can't say I'm looking forward to JR as much as *the woodie*, but I can say that I am really excited to ride it, and thrilled that it'll be open in time for our visit.....w0000t!

For any daring enough (insane enough?) to want to meet us, I'll be posting to the meeting calendar tonight!

We'll be staying in Branson on the 3rd and 4th....looks like CC in the evenings, and SDC during the days of the 4th and 5th for us before heading back to St Louis for the flight out on the 6th...we'll be doing *plenty* of relaxing, but either of the evenings should find us at CC for those night rides on the brand-new GCI and my first *real* Miler....:)

I have not been down to ride JR yet, but, it opened, oh gosh let me think here, either last week or the one before. The weeks are all starting to blur together for me this season. Anywhoo, it is open. Enjoy.

CBill....one day is plenty at IoA, a lifetime not enough.....just get there early, and be SURE to use the *free* virtual queueing...use single-riders lines on Hulk and Dr. Doom if at all possible, as well as MiB. Get to the water rides before lunch, or after 5pm, and you should avoid MOST of the lines there as well...oh, and make sure to ride the front of *at least* one of the Dragons, the dueling loops are cool!

But back to the topic, Celebration City....w000t! Great news about JR, and even if OW isn't all that *intense* it sure looks FUN! The best part is that I get there *before mOOSH*...:). Also very excited about SDC....

bill, WON'T be picking up music in branson...;)

I went to CC on wednesday and will have a trip report soon. All I heard from other guests about jackrabbit is that they hate it. They say it's rough, some kids were complaining about bruises they got on it, and some othere comments I can't exactly remember now. I liked the ride except for the transitions which are rough.
