Some times the sponsership deal involves more than just a name on the ride. For example the SFA Corn Nuts deal includes selling Corn Nuts on the property and at one time even giving out some free samples if I recall correctly.

I thought Big One got the Pepsi name revoke.

One of my friends' last names is Cornell and we always call him Corn Nuts (because we're immature like that) and he especially despised Mind Eraser SFNE before it was sponsered. It was really f'n funny the first time we saw that sign together.

The real question is: Who's sponsoring M:TR?

Basically its just the company paying for advertisment. They pay so much monthly or yearly depending on park rules and are then allowed to advertise on the ride. So no they don't ever really pay for the entire ride. My fav sponsership was for the Ninja at SF. ST.Louis it is sponsered by Corn Nuts because you have to be nuts to ride it!!! Okay its lame I know. lol

As many times as the CPG brought up the term "Six Flags Astroglide" (example) to refer to the park in Houston, I cannot belive my comment was out of line. In fact, I considered it 'topical' :)
