Why do you need a bicycle seat on a stand-up?

What is the bicycle seat there for. If I leave it down would it matter?

If they didn't have the seat, then you would risk certain riders falling out from collapsed legs. The set is there to support you, if you can't support yourself. Its essentially a safety feature.

I know, when your on a Stand-Up like Riddler's, just bend your knees a little bit before the ride ops come and secure everything. Then the bicycle seat will be lower so you can't hit your crotch!

Riddler's Revenge always gets me on that small air-hump before the helix. Ouch!

Yeah, they should make the seats a little softer for 'safy reasons'. Though, women should not have a problem if you know what I mean. ;) ;)

I hate it when Riddler's stops, and the seats unlock so that you can get out. You hear the pressurized air release and WHAM!!! The bicycle seat comes up and nails you in the crotch. A women must have designed this coaster.

On Riddlers, they used to unlock the OSTR's and the seats at the same time. The problem being, light people would be lifted up off the ground, making it harder for them to get out. Now, they unlock the seats after everyone gets out. The only problem with that is the loud noise of the seats going up.
