Queues: What's your favourite in-line activity?

In high school, my brother used to entertain me (and various girls) by "tripping" and falling flat on his face in the middle of midways. Good times.

Wow. Between Skunky and ThemeDesigner, I don't know who takes the cake there. I wish I could have been there. We might need an official referee to judge that one.

Oh, the joy of mullet sightings...

The best game to play in line is BopIt (although it's potentially annoying to the people around you). The new Bop It Extreme 2 has a headphone jack though, so if you're in public you don't have to be *too* terribly obnoxious. If you're really good at it, there's also the option of playing the game while on the ride too.. :)

Well, you've mentioned Father/Son mullets, or Mother/Daughter mullets.... The best though would have to be at Kings Island, we usually get this a few times a year.....

An entire family with mullets. They are usually pretty large families too, at least four to six people.

What is it about theme parks that attracts the mullet kind? I wonder if parks ever though of doing a promotion... "Get in free if you have a mullet day"... or "Your mullet must be this long in order to ride" (with cardboard cut-out sign of some guy pointing at his mullet)

Bop-It Extreme! I've never played at a park... it's kinda bulky to be carrying around all day... but it is tons o' fun. Over the course of a 2-day family reunion two summers ago, I got so good at it that I could go for 15 minutes with the voice commands turned off (sound FX only).

My second favorite queue activity: Scaring the crap out of little kids with near-death or lost-limb tales about the ride we're waiting for.

Most hapless victim: CBaby, age 3. I told her the retaining pool of VF's Flume was there to catch people who fell overboard. She didn't honestly believe a word a said (to hear her tell the tale) but she freaked out every time we walked toward the queue until she was 6.

Least hapless victims: Last year's group of 6 year-olds; so disappointed that PT passengers whose car smashed into the ground were only mangled, not killed. Little savages. No wonder the characters from Monsters, Inc had problems...

My least favorite activity: 'Ooopsie' bumping / cavity searches by middle aged moms in line behind me.

My favorite: Same as above with their adult daughters. Which brings to mind another story I'll mercifully spare you.

There's no better way to pass time and make new friends than talking about trim brakes.

I like trying to spot coaster geeks looking for people with mullets.

A geek yelling "Look at that one!" is 1 point.

A geek nudging his buddies and pointing while they all snicker is 2 points.

A geek taking a picture of a mulleted guest is three points.

You get the idea... ;)

One of my most memorable "mullet moments" was actually last Sunday in the MF line late in the day. There was a "mini mullet" that I had observed earlier in the day (I guess he just started to go for the mullet in the last few weeks?) and his son was with him this time. His son had a hat that had a chicken on it. Now its funny enough to see a mini mullet along with his chicken-headed kid. But, the kicker was the mullet sticking out from under the chicken hat ... I lost it, couldn't help myself! (although I want one of those chicken hats!)

Does excessive back hair qualify as mullet-like? If so then I am in the running.

I've mastered the art of sleeping standing up. That, and I count and re-count all my pocket change, hoping I have enough left for an "Outback" steak dinner.

No.....there's your garden-variety Mullet Hunt and then there's the game we like to call 'BackFro'. Wear a tank top and you'd definitely make someone's score double or triple.

Hey! Where's my free gift? I just voted for Hollywood's sexiest couple!

Last spring my friend and I harassed some little kid for all 2 hours of our wait for S:ROS at SFNE. It was fun, and he deserved it, so we didn't feel bad. By the way- we were harassing him becuase he cut in front of us in line. We made up whole bunches of tall tales about what has happened to line jumpers at this park in the past... He actually believed some of them too. ;)

Once when I was in a 45 minute line for the Great Bear, I told a group of 8 year old brats about how the it often gets stuck in the loop, and that the real reason the are nets there is to catch any riders who fall out, and that it happens maybe twice a week. And they actually believed it to. Suckers.

Dont wanna sound stupid, but i cant figure out any way to ask this...

What exactly is a mullet? I keep reading everyone's post to try and figure out what exactly it is, but i cant figure it out.

Laugh at me if you will, but atleat tell me what it means. Just curious.
