SoCal lodging

I'm heading to Los Angelas in June, and I am looking for very cheap hotels in SoCal, mainly outside of Magic Mountain. I am driving to the park, so it just has to be withing like 15 min or so. I did a search, but couldn't find good reviews of the hotels in the area.

The best deal close to SFMM would be the Best Western Valencia Inn. It's right across the highway and the rooms are adequate.

We stayed at the Travelodge on Sierra Highway, about 10 minutes from SFMM. King size bed, little kitchenette(microwave, kitchen sink, fridge), and a pool for $50 a night. Can't beat it.
