model coaster

Melennium XL-200

Monday, April 28, 2003 7:30 PM
I just recently built an awesome model roller coaster for a school project. It is launched by compressed air straight up, then straight down. Next it goes through a verticle loop, cobra roll, and 2 corkscrews. To complete the project, it needs a name. Any suggestions?

I'd use the Strong Bad approach and use one of these: Lazor, Bigg Nife, Taranchula or Limozeen.

Actually since it's a school project call it somthing like Project _ just fill in the _ with the first letter of the class its for.

Space Theme?? How about "Terminal Velocity" or "3...2...1...Ignition!" or how about "Project-X" (based on the on-going contest to send 3 men to space...twice..within 2 weeks $10 million prize, non-government regulated"

Someone else must have heard of them.

Yes, I am a huge 311 fan and their song names go pretty well as coaster names.

I like botanical names and named my model wooden coaster Blazing Star (Liatris spicata)

Unfortunately, the current incarnation of my park doesn't have space for the coaster right now.

What about something like Lightspeed, Alacrity (Velocity), or Ion Storm.

Josh, I agree, especially considering his three posts. OTOH he never said it was a WORKING model, or even a physical model, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean how many people really believe we built a SBNO coaster if you tell them?
