I know it hasn't happened yet, but what do you think a B&M woodie would be like?

Personally I think it would either be very twisted or filled with air. I'm interested in finding out what you all think a B&M woodie would be like.

I would like to see it floorless, but it might be a little to smoothe for a woodie?

I'd say it'd be pretty bad... Unforceful, poorly designed, and most likely would have a stupid gimmick...

Hey a smooth wooden coaster. Sounds like Thunderhawk, anyway it would an ok coaster I'm guessing.

I can't see a B&M woodie in our future. But, then again I never expected Vekoma or Intamin to build one. Might be interesting.

Didn't B&M design the trains for SFMM's Psyclone? I thought I read that somewhere.

If thats true, than thats all the info you need.

They built the trains for Psyclone, but they publicly stated they don't plan to build a woodie OR a giga, while I'm at it. *** This post was edited by Millennium Force on 2/15/2001. ***

Well, a B&M gives an incredibly smooth ride. I don't think they will be very successfull with wood. I don't see it happening.

Yeah, they wouldn't be too successful with wood. From what I understand, it was the B&M trains on Psyclone that screwed the track up so badly.

I could see them incoorpirating all sorts of inversions in it, a wooden zero-G roll, whew.

It just doesn't seem like the type of ride for B&M to be interested in building with the current trends in their rides. Look at how they use the calculated placement of trims to make sure that all aspects of a ride can be controlled at any time. This isn't something you can do as easily with a wooden coaster. While B&M can work out and engineer every little aspect of their steel coasters, it wouldn't carry over well to a wooden one.
