Cedar Point's Park Cams

I looked about a minute ago and noticed that there are only two (at least for now) cams working. I wonder why? When I looked at it yesterday and in the past week, the first cam was really blurry compared to the others. Hopefully uits down so they can fix it. Does anyone know anything else about it. it seems to blurry for use right now but its still on.

as it seems by looking at the date its showing an archived picture form 5 days ago. hmm, quite interesting. The other 2 seem to be perfectly up to date

We had some pretty bad storms here in Ohio earlier this week. The weather probably messed up the webcam, and the park hasn't had a chance to get someone up on Power Tower to fix it.

Junior is correct. The storms were on Sunday, and that is coincidentally when the Power Tower cam stopped working. General concensus is the PT cam was possibly damaged, so the archive picture was/is up.

A better picture? It's not like they save all the pictures they have or very many at that.

Webcams are for one purpous. Show a LIVE picture. CP isn't going to waste disc space with old photos. They added a little feature than automaticly saves a picture from daytime for that night for people that go to CP.com at night. Just a little convinence that works in most cases but not this one obviously. The webcams arn't there just to please people that hit the refresh button for every update. They are there so anyone can take a peak at whats going on. Three cams gives a better chance to see something interesting to someone that hasn't been watching everything.

Over a week? It's been that way since Sunday.

A lot of you are saying they froze it there or it's an archived photo. It's not. The weather probably made it go down and since it's 300 feet in the air, it's not the first priority to get it fixed. Besides, on the main cam site they took it down, which shows that they are aware of the issue.

Just wait for May 4. We'll have some nice pictures and reports then. :)
