Hyper Looper?

Is there any coaster either in operation or on drawing boards that are 200 feet or greater in height with one or more inversions? Is the turns on MF inversions?

X is on the board and the turns on MF are not inversions.

I don't believe that the turns on millenium force are inversions, or they would have billed them as such. As for a hyper looper, there was one with steel phantom, but now i believe that X will be the only hyper-looper if i am not mistaken

Son of Beast is 218 feet tall and has one inversion that is 113 feet tall. The turns on MF are not inversions.

OK; I'm sure I'll get roasted for this, but I say the turns on MF are inversions. They turn the riders upside down, and they look a heckuva lot like what is usually referred to as an inclined loop; but, what do I know...

It's very debatable as far as the turns on MF are concerned. On one hand, you are definitely more upside down than right side up. (122 degrees from upright, 58 degrees from inverted). On the other hand, you're more sideways than upside down. (32 degrees off from sideways, 58 degrees off from fully inverted).

However, if you count MF's turns as inversions (personal choice, as far as I'm concerned), I hereby propose the name of the MF inversions: No longer shall they be referred to as "overbanked turns." Nope...they will be "inclined cutbacks." :)

Hey I like that!(inclined cutbacks). I certainly felt inverted on those turns, but I guess Intamin can call them what they want.

The Rockin' Roller Coaster in Disney has a MF turn. What about the Steel Phantom. Isn't that over 200 ft?

Steel phantom was, but will be turned into phantoms revenge, a noninverter.

Well, Steel Phantom had a drop greater than 200', yes, but it wasn't over 200' tall.

Manhattan Express 203 feet tall 2 inversions

The generally accepted hypercoaster definition seems to be a coaster with a lift or drop greater than 200'. To clarify, Apollo's Chariot is not 200' tall, but it does feature a drop greater than 200' tall. Magnum has a 200' lift, but a 198' or so drop. Therefore, SoB, Manhattan Express, and Steel Phantom are the current or former hyper loopers. X and SFMM will be the next one.

That's sooooooo cool SoB is one of the only looping coasters above 200ft. Also, the worlds only looping wooden coaster.

And SoB is also the tallest looper...

Manhattan Express is 203 feet tall, but the first drop is only 60 feet and the second is 144. It seems high because its built 9 stories up above the casino/hotel entrance.
