Sentimental Coasters

Alright, I know we are starting to reach for topics, but we have to do something to pass through the offseason. I was wondering what coaster (or maybe ride in general) holds the most importance to you. Maybe it was the first coaster u ever rode, or it was the coaster that really got you interested in them in the first place, or maybe it is a coaster that reminds you of a certain time in your life every time you ride it. In any case, what coaster do you think of most fondly?

Windjammer at Knotts. Every time i have a headache.

Blue Streak at Cedar Point. My mother tells me the first coaster I ever rode was at Idora, but I don't remember that. Blue Streak is one of the first coasters I can remember riding, and it made quite an impression.

Magnum XL-200, my first "big coaster". Sure I rode Iron Dragon before that, but thats not realy a "big coaster"...lol.

I still remember my first ever coaster ride on the Blue Streak (kindergarten) as if it were yesterday. My first Magnum experience (2nd grade) also holds a special place in my memories.

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.

One of my first memories of riding a coaster would have to be the Jumbo Jet coaster at Wildwood in New Jersey. I also remember my first ride on Thunderhawk (it wasn't called that when I rode) at Dorneypark. Those rides seemed huge back then. I wonder what these new tall rides look like to little kids.

My first coaster was The Racer at PKI in 1973. I was scared to death, but my 13 yr old cousin pretty much pushed me on. I've been hooked ever since. In 1995, The Racer was my son's first coaster. My first looper was the Screamin Demon at PKI.

Kumba was the first big coaster that I rode, it turned me on to coasters. It's still one of my favorites.

Good call, coastaluva! Kumba was the first B&M looper I rode, and before that, I thought that Arrow was the world's best coaster designer! Kumba opened my eyes to a whole new concept: re-ridability on a steel looping coaster!

The first coaster I ever rode was the American Eagle at SFGAm. I was about 8 i think, and that coaster seemed like the biggest damn thing on the planet. Just the sheer mass of timber overwhelmed me. I still remember the incredible feeling the first time i started floating out of my seat on that first drop. A close second would be magnum though, as that was the ride which opened me up to the idea that yes, coasters do exist outside of SFGAm, and really just turned me into an enthusiast.

Thunderbolt was my first coaster. Blue Streak at Cedar Point was the first coaster I put my hands up on. Magnum was my first hyper.

Mini Mine Train at SFOT because it was my first coaster. The Mine Train (SFOT), well, it's just special to me. Then there's Shockwave (also at SFOT), my first looper.

Millennium Force. I had always loved Cedar Point, but in the summer of 1999, after I heard the announcement, I yearned for every new diary entry, and construction updates. That winter was the longest yet, but once I boarded it in June, it was all worth it.
