Just got back from Six Flags New Orleans

I just got back from the park, it was math and science day and it is a really good park. It needs lots of help with theming though. I was kinda ticked cause when we 1st got there all of the rollercoasters were closed. Then they open. I GOT ONE OF THE 1ST RIDES ON BATMAN AND THE TV CREW was there to. All I have to say is that they need to reschedule the opening again because Gotham City needs alot of work. Also they were working on the line for Batman because it was all mud and dirt. On the lift its sooo oscary because your like right under the water and that was the most intense Batman that ive ridden. I had tears in my eyes from the pressure!! lol. Mega Zeph is my #2 all time favorite wooden coaster behind Boss. OMG THAT 1ST DROP I ALMOST FELL OUT OF MY SEAT and the rest was intense and awesome. It was kinda bumpy. Bayou Blaster was a fun ride and I cant imaging being on Superman Power of Tower, being 2x taller than it!!!. Jester was closed. I didn't get to ride the boomerang, I was to concentrated on Mega Zeph. One thing that didn't please me at all was the line for Batman. Its not themed good and you dont even go inside Gotham City sewage system and stuff. The queue line is all outside. Line breaking was another huge issue.We were in the 2nd row and this person in front of me rushes to get in the 1st row. . Overall im an extremely pleased with the park and also got 5 complimentary tickets to go back again!!! Any questions?? This is 100% true, anybody from New Orleans can tell you this becuase it was on the news. I swear this is 100% true.

yeah. i bet that lift must have been really scary "right under the water" i know that i have a huge fear of drowning, myself...

only kidding, im glad you had a good time at the park. sounds like a fun day.

sounds good now.. its the same with any park that has been redesigned.. never perfect for opening day. im sure when u go back in a month or 2.. all will be good.

If B:TR's queue area wasn't completed yet & was nothing but mud & dirt then the park wouldn't have even let guests into that area until the final queue construction was completed.

I dont know, all I know is that the queue looked a mess. They might have been nice to us since it was math and science day.

All you really need is a path. They can put down paving materials in the queue after hours.

I wouldn't prejudge. The park was mainly just showing off its new section and Batman for the media. I'm going tomorrow and hopefully everything will be up and running. The theming, landscaping, etc will probably be continued to be worked on after opening. From the pictures I personally think it looks great and just cannot wait until tomorrow. This day just keeps dragging on and on hehe.

Yeah. Hopefully they finished all of the work because they had lots of it in the DC Comics area and also just one thing was the canopy tents looks soo unatural and I would have prefered trees because the sun can still get through the tents

I'm very impressed! All the new rides look great, and the Gotham City sure as hell puts my park's to shame. I am very impressed with the overall transformation (as shown in those pictures, anyway!).

Yeah Six Flags New Orleans has soo many flat rides. And they just got about 4 but unfortunately they werent working, but I wouldn't have had time to ride them anywayz. The park opened at 10am and closed at 3 pm!!!! :( I woulda loved to stay there more

I think te most impressive part in your trip report was the fact they gave you 5 free tickets. Obviously, SF want as many people to come and see the new park as they can. I just hope, they try to set a better standard in park operations, and I hope when the park officially opens, all or most of their rides are operational.

That actually looks really nice for a six flags park. I think it would look better with more trees. BTR looks great partly over water!
