Coaster Madness at Dorney

I was planning on going to Coaster Madness 03, I just wanted to hear from some people who have gone in the past, what it's like, and anything else about it.

Well, I went last year and it was okay. It was kinda weird as coaster events go because there was not a large contingent of "Coaster Tools" attending. The park was very empty all day. It was a fun event but not so much because it was an "event". It was a cheap way for me to visit a park I'd never been to and I had a couple of friends from from out of the area to hang with. The ERT was cool, but the lines were nearly as short during the regular day as they were during ERT. Especially since, in the morning session, everyone avoided Hercules like the plague ('self included) and in the evening Thunderhawk was basically only given "token" rides. That meant the throng were on Talon and Steel "I feel no" Force. Making the lines not much different than during the regular day.

Now I didnt venture into the waterpark which was apparently off the hook. But I *must* suggest that if you are a fan of getting wet...correction SOAKED, then the rapids ride is all for you. It is so demented with no less than ELEVEN different waterfalls. Honestly, as much as I like Talon and Hercules, I am most looking forward to the rapids ride. ;)

But I'm weird like that :)

I am also going for the first time. I will be able to get in free with a coaster club card and a Cedar Fair pass. It sounds like fun.

Thunder Canyon is the best rapids ride anywhere. Last time I rode the raft was spinning so fast it was like being on a very wet Gravatron. The ride is demented.
