Nice. I like that commercial better than the ones they had for SFA when it was first transformed.

I haven't heard that jingle since '99 when that little park in Denver became a "big themer" :)

What a strange voiceover- sounds like a flight attendant explaining what to do in the event of a water landing.

Its probably the camcorder audio. It sounds a lot better when you see it on the TV. This is the same commercial used in 2000 for SFNE with a few changes for the park.

If you look at this link, you can download a video from 1999 for Six Flags Over Texas which proves it's 99% exactly the same commercial. Welcome to the Six Flags family, SFNO.

Panther, 99% the same?....haha....what are you talking about?....Watching that video, it only looks like 30% is the same, the rest is different video, some of other parks, the rest of Jazzland. The same style graphics are used but most graphics say something else. It's funny how biased and scared one can get when the new boy comes to town.

Well, the music is cheesy, but at least it's true to the rides it announces (well, at least it shows clones of the correct rides...). One of the least ridiculous SF spots i've seen. And that's saying a lot, because that ad was pretty ridiculous.

Someone already said it, but anywho. It's the same exact (except for name) that Six Flags New England used in 2000 for their transformation from Riverside Park to Six Flags!

ThrillChill,

Someone said, so it's true? Come on! Show some proof or something. I don't know you from Adam. Am I supposed to take your word? You can take a look at SFNO's video and then SFOT's video and see there is a difference (about 70% of the video is differnt scenes). Sure there are similar. For crying out loud, they are owned by the same company. Show me some proof that SFNE's video is the "exact" same and I will buy you a season pass to a park of your choice. I find it hard to believe that Six Flags would show video of MegaZeph and other Jazzland rides on a SFNE commercial.

Show me the proof that they are "exactly" the same!!!

So what? Six Flags recycled the commercial.. And COGGY recycled the video of the commercial from my website.. I realize it's a public commercial.. But the encoding of it took a lot of time, and I don't appreciate it.

It uses the SAME effects and ideas from the SFOT commercial. B-roll footage is easy to replace, son.

Theme parks do NOT revolve around coaster enthusiasts! SURPRISE! You need two new coasters because your park sucked so bad it only had what, 4 of them? So you get Batman the Clone and .. (laugh) Jokers Revenge. Ok, at least Batman will be a good ride....

Anyway, if you actually looked at my website, I have a letter posted from the Public Relations Department of AstroWorld talking about how the public here in Houston has been asking for more family rides for years. Over the past decade or so, we've added lots of thrill rides, but lacked in the family department. The fact we're getting two family friendly attractions doesn't upset me one bit, because I have enough brains to know that it's a bad return on investment to install a new coaster just to try to make a handful of "coaster enthusiasts" happy.

Dude.. it's the EXACT same commerical with some new voice over, some new text graphics, and new B-roll to fit the park. They've done this FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS.

Why is it that if ANYONE says anything bad about Six Flags Nothing Original.. er.. New Orleans.. that you get SO DEFENSIVE? Is it because you KNOW SFNO sucks hardcore and it's an auto-response or something? I mean, christ, I applaud you for defending your home park, but dude, Six Flags isn't The Lord Almighty that you're thinking it is. It *IS* okay to say something negative about Six Flags once in a while. They are not a perfect company, and they do make mistakes. Lord, I thought *I* was a Six Flags suckup until I met you, Coggy.

ASK ANYONE HERE.. does Six Flags suck? 9 out of 10 of them will say "Yes they sure do!" Do I think Six Flags sucks? On a corporate level, they sure do Mr. Hat.
