Don't tell anyone this but try http://www.atlanticrail.com/sl/sfname.php The Top Secret Six Flags Name Generator. The perfect tool for people who can't figure out names for thier rides.

lol, I like that Sawblade...

Here's a few examples of the fine work it produces... Batman: Ultimate Ride, Superman: Knight Steel, Mr Freeze: Ultimate Escape (lol), Batman: Knight Escape...

Anyway, what a useful tool. Gotta love it!

Hmmm... pirate names (you may need to check spelling here):

Swashbuckler

Buckoneer

Cannon Ball

Black Beard's Revenge (could be Red Beard, or Orange Beard, very interchangable)

Pirate's Cove (good for dark rides)

That's all I can think of right now, :(

You could have a childrens area themed for Peter Pan.

Shivering Timbers? ;)

It does help a little to know what kind of coasters we're thinking up names for.

A good idea (and very educational) is to look up the history of pirates. Find out where they fought, where they lived, famous people, famous places, ...
Check out the food in those places, maybe the vegetation, ... =)

Very usefull information for theme parks.

How about a swinging ship or a haunted ride named "one-eyed willie's hidden treasure." IE- The Goonies-great 80's movies about pirates!!!

The Plank could be a B&M Vertical Drop
Cannonball could be a 4-D

I like the name 'Plank', maybe 'walk the plank' would make a bit more sense though?

Anyway, all I can think of is 'Mutiny'. That would fit a wide variety of different coaster types. I remember it as one of the rumoured names for Goliath at sfmm.

On second thoughts, what about Cutthroat Jake, and Blackbeard's 'something'. Also, 'Sailing the seven seas', and 'The Perfect Storm'. Also, what about a Captain Pugwash childrens area?
