new S&S towers look awesome

I just want to point out that the new S&S towers (Liberty Launch and Superman Tower of Power) look really nice. The Superman "S" and the flag are real classy looking, as are the flags on the Liberty Launch. Eh?

Small?? Whatever. Have you ever been on one of the smaller towers? They are *amazing*! Much, MUCH better than those huge towers!

It looks nice but I have to roll my eyes that Six Flags is using the extra twelve feet of flagpole height to claim they've got the tallest S&S tower in the country at 325 ft (the actual ride structure is only 313 ft).

Knott's Supreme Scream also stands 325', with the flagpole. But 312' without.

E.W Is right the smaller Double shot towers are much more intense!... There is Mad air time when the basket reaches the top of the tower, somthing that is much less, or almost non existant on any other large S&S I have ridden.. Let's just hope HW formats LL like IB's tower is ! Should be a great ride !

Are they that old? Canobie's new tower was like that. But man, I wish I had time to hit that tower, but the line was huge and we only had like 4 hours in the park.

don't think that this is new...I recall a story from years ago where the builder of a skyscraper in NYC went up to the top spire of his tower, took a 30ft or so steel rod shoved it up thru the roof to make his tower taller than the nearest competition..............

Even the famous PT Barnum would hype the hell of a pile of dinosaur crap!
