I think the poster means currently. As far as I know, the Banshee was dismantled after last season.
A path is being installed in that area of the park, and Hallowswings has yet to arrive. This according to a video Will Koch filmed a week and a half ago that was shown at No-Coaster.

Chuck,
I think he meant has it been removed, as of this time. And, as such, only Paula would be able to tell us for sure. But my guess would be that yes, it has been removed as they are probably working on configuring the site for Halloswings.
In the NoCoasterCon video that Paula and Will sent up, there were already parts of Zinga on site, so I can guess that construction can't be too far behind...
EDIT: Darn-it Shaggy beat me to this by 13 seconds... ;)

RavenXtreme said: I was just curious, is the Banshee ride at Holiday World been removed from the park yet? Has anyone got any information on if they have started the construction on Zinga or HallowSwings?
I wasn't ignoring you ... I just don't usually post from home over the weekends. Anyway...yes, the Banshee is dismantled. HallowSwings is being created in Italy -- won't see it till the spring. And most of the Zinga footers are in ... and the bright blue fiberglass is arriving.
Thanks for your interest! Paula

whew, ok...here goes....
last year at the GOCC Fall Freak Out, i was with Kicksthesky, Robodud, MooreOn, and Arrow Guy....aka, Kristin, Rob, Chris, and Brad. anyway, after an incredible morning of Raven and Legend, we decided to hit some flats, and i was enamoured with Banshee, as i had never ridden a falling star before.
well it was of course a very fun ride, and so being the good enthusiast i am, i rode it again, and most of the group sat out. well....i am crazy, after all i love Togo and Vekoma, so i decided to go for three in a row! well, i was alone on that one, so Brad decided he wanted to get my ride on film. this family from somewhere in Kentucky sat beside me...a wife, husband, and two grade school aged kids....
well....being the jokster i am, i decided to take advantage of a golden opportunity. the woman was visibly horrified of the ride, it was obvious she had been dragged on. so with Brad videoing the ride, i began to make scary faces at the woman, pretending i was a monster...quite childish actually, but hey, it was making me laugh, and the rest of my group:)....
however, unknown to me, was that her husband noticed me doing this to his wife the whole time....and as the ride cycle was nearing its end, he turned and glared at me, almost grabbed my arm, and growled under his breath, "you aught not do that to my wife there boy!" in the most hickified, southern, redneck accent you can imagine! it took so much to hold my laughing inside, so when we finally got off, i took off running, laughing my head off!
ok, it was kind of a "had to be there" moment....but still...if any of the four who were with me see this post, back me up :) i mean...the guy was your grade A southern boy....haha....oh man, it was the greatest. im sure that Kristin or Brad still have that footage somewhere:)
Tim...who likes pissing off hicks and rednecks :)

You're definitely right about the hick part..he reminded me of the characters in a SNL skit from a few years back called "Who's more grizzled?" He had the whole look to him: the long hair and beard, the beer belly, denim overalls. I wouldn't say you were doing anything harmful..you didn't touch her, you were just making funny faces/gestures for the camera, but you had the misfortune of not knowing that her husband was sitting behind you. Apparently he didn't have much of a sense of humor. I think you were wise to get off the ride as fast as you did.. ;)
