I know this is not coaster-related but since there are a ton of Simpson's fans on C-buzz I thought you's like to read about the good news:

I read this. You know what I would like better? If they would just release the rest of the series on DVD now instead of waiting a year between each one. I almost never watch the new episodes anymore, but I watch the two syndicated episodes every chance I get.

Why couldn't Fox keep on the Family Guy? That's what kills me.... :( Thank God for DVD.:)

What gets me is that they "canceled" and brought back Family Guy twice during it's run. On top of that they changed it's airing time to often. What I don't get is that the final few episodes aired had excellent ratings blowing away most other Fox shows!
They also screwed Greg the Bunny terribly. There were a few episodes of that were as funny as any Family Guy or Simpsons. Some were not. Also, they never even aired all the original episodes. They just stopped airing them before the end of the season. :(

Why are y'all surprised? The network notorious for cancelling "Briscoe County Jr" doesn't have a clue how to handle shows that need nurturing, save "X-Files". I'm still steemed at them for pulling "The Tick" as well as "Futurama". Honestly, how can anything thrive on Sunday at 7:00pm with untold number of pre-emptions? I am also a big fan of "Bunny" as well as "Guy"; why don't the Nielson's track my habits?:(
P.S.-Nasai, is "Family Guy" now on DVD?:)
Oh, and Power to the Coasters!;)
Futurama has been picked up by Cartoon Network, and will be airing nightly....of course, it's up against some pretty stiff competition from Jon Stewart and the 11pm SportsCenter...
my old sig had the link, but go to www.adultswim.com for all the details surrounding Cartoon Network's *good stuff*
The Family Guy seasons one and two will be released on DVD on April 15 according to Amazon.
I know I will be in line to get that, and also share the wish of Simpson seasons being released quicker. We so far have two, and at 1 a year, I really don't want to wait over a DECADE to get them all. I am sure they will speed it up as time goes on.
So, yes, the North American release of Family Guy on DVD has me very excited. Let's show those Fox execs what idiots they were for cancelling it.
Ob.coaster -- anyone want to bet how long The Simpsons will continue the Disney banging?

LLG-thanks for the info on Brisco:) As far as the Simpsons' mouse-bashing, it seems the show is getting bolder at it, almost to see how far they can go and still skirt real trouble. Disney seems to be mum about it (publicly), as if to suggest they are taking the high road; that they can take a joke. But I think the writers for the Simpson's are just warming up......
