Screamin Squirrel Location

Does anybody know where the new S&S Screamin Squirrel is expected to go, if anywhere for 2003? I attended IAAPA this year and saw the layout as well as sat in the seats for the Sky Sling which are practically the same thing-which are comfortable except for the hard plastic of the seat and they are a little narrow

Just something to say:

While i was down at iaapa, a bunch of six flags people had a meeting with the S&S people and they signed a few contracts, now what they were for is beyond me, we are just going to have to wait and see.

Is it just me, or do the restraints remind you of TOGO? I heard they're comfortable though.

Six Flags bought some S&S rides, but I'm kinda skeptical anyone has ordered a Scremin Squirrel.

It'd be nice to see Cedar Point get a seriously discounted Screamin' Squirrel because of the whole Vertigo fiasco.

Oh yes, the Sky Swatter is almost a sure bet to get an installation very soon. But the Screamin Squirrel... I'd ride it, but I dunno about most park guests.

I would like to see one at Kennywood or Idewild. They would fit in perfectly.

I don't think so! Cedar Point removed the actual ride car from Vertigo when they were told not to. This was essensial to the support of the either structure and by removing it when the park close they weaken the structure. It was their fault!

but u know, like Dingo said, maybe Stan could put it in his new play ground, along with the Arrowbatic, since he has the rights to that too....time will tell, but I doubt it.

Thanks, 'Gator. I have a feeling Screaming Squirrel, like Arrowbatic before it, was merely an effort to show the industry that S&S was still a player in the coaster biz and could come up with unique and interesting ideas.

It the same when clothing designers show their latest designs at a fashion show: most of those garments never are produced for retail and those that are usually get redesigned for better appeal to the masses.

Then again I could be completely wrong.

The *Screaming Squirrel* is probably a bit much for mass appeal, but would do GREAT if everyone else thought like we do, huh? But have you checked out "The Rambunctious Rodent"? I think that it may be the *toned-down* version that the parks really want, with the broad appeal necessary for multiple installations....;)
