( This quesstion goes out mainly to Jeff or anyone who knows).I'm going to CP May 9-11. I am staying In Breakers. I wanted to know if the hotel guests will be able to get into thte park a 1/2 early, because of TT Dragster opening and all. Also how good Breakers is compared to all the other On-Site hotels.

We can assume they will have a similar program like last year. Personally I loved what they did in 00. Every time I was there the gates opened at 9, and MF was ready for riders!

I was at Hotel Breakers on the second weekend of Halloweekends, let me tell you staying there is a very good plan because its a really nice hotel, and we had a lake view, it was very nice, they have a breakfast buffet that is pretty good and cheap to, I say if you goto ever goto Cedar Point stay at Breakers.

Breaker is probably the best place to stay. Your right in the backyard! : ) I always thought Sandusky was a great place to camp and go to CP. Does Camper Village still prohibit tents?

I stayed at the breakers and had the best vacation of my life. Its awesome because when you get there you get to drive around the entire park to get to the parking lot.

Also its right next to the beach so its fun to go swimming. Our room had the perfect view of MF. What's better than waking up to a Giga Coaster? I woke up in the middle of the first night (we hadn't been to the park yet) and the tower lights looked incredible.

Cedar Point -- Disneyworld of Thrills

Breakers -- best place to stay.

I agree with everyone. It is a very nice hotel, and well worth the $$.

I even had maggie and the beach outside my window :-)

Hotel Breakers was nice the first time I went to Cedar Point. Our room was really great and had a good view of the park. However, I went back this past summer and we stayed in this cheapo room that was kinda bad. I guess it was probably the oldest section. You get what you pay for.

I know there's one indoor pool and two outdoor pools at least. I dunno, there may be more. There's always the beach too.

I was always wondering (having never been to CP), is the lake a fresh water lake and what is the normal water temp in the summer? Also is there any kind of surf? Thanks in advance.

No surf to speak of unless there is a storm. Yes, it is freshwater and the temperature can get quite warm in July and August...like bath water.

The lake is fresh water... Some people get put off by the appearance - it is somewhat green in color, and rather cloudy, but it is fine to swim in. I grew up swimming in Lake Erie and have suffered no ill effects *blinks third eye*

The water will be cool during early summer, but warms up mid summer and stays warm through fall. There are waves (1' to 3') but you can't surf.

The good thing about Breaker's is that the Magnum park entrance is right next to TTD's entrance.
