They are awsome! I love how they fit into a smallish space, and I use them almost like a flat ride. You can have both spikes twist, too. One problem is that on the straight back spike there is no option for a holding brake. I have a feeling this may be included in a future expansion pack. You can choose from 1 to 7 circuits. I'm not sure what you mean by "realistic", but they do look alot like the real-life ones.

Yeah they are very realistic. And they come with building tools to create your own custom supports so they look even more realistic. There are also a lot more pre-designed rides with scenery. They have Deja Vu almost exactly like the real ones - with que lines and fences already built. So pretty much - it couldn't get anymore realistic.-----------------

DV in RCT2 kinda sucks as it's not the same...(the real one crosses itself). Also corkscrew coasters still don't have banked drops :(

"The only thing different than the real ride is that there is no launch track, it just launches straight out of the station, and the last run through the station ends on the back spike, not the front."
The lack of launch track is easily fixed by just making a long straight run right after the station...I always build my Impulses that way, because they look unnaturally short otherwise.
