Vampire at La Ronde

www.rcdb.com states that the Vampire at La Ronde was designed by Werner Stengel, but it's a BTR clone. Did he design the original BTR?

I wouldn't think so, because B:TR was B&M's second coaster. Isn't Stengel with Intamin?

Werner Strengel doesn't work exclusively for one company--he also designed such rides as Son of Beast and Flight of Fear.

Vortex was B&M's second coaster. I think Vortex at PGA, otherwise Vortex at PCW. Batman was B&M's second style of coaster.

I wouldn't doubt that it's Stengel's design, his tend to be very tight, especially the steel coasters he has worked on.

I've never heard of Stengel having anything to do with the BTR design. The feel of the BTRs is strictly B&M not Stengel. My guess is that it is a typo.

I was under the impression that Stengel had a hand in all of B&M's designs, which would include Batman and the clones.

"Been involved with" doesn't necessarily mean "desgined" (could be anything under the "Scope of Work" section)... but there are some obvious similarities between rides of different manufacturers that he's been involved with.
