B&M coaster maintenance

I was wondering if all B&M's have little two-man rotating caged cars that the maintenance people travel along the track at about 4 feet a second? Because when i rode Wildfire last year, on the transfer track was a one of those things.

Anybody understand what i am talking about?

Yeah, only very new B&M's have that.

None of the B&M's at SFOG have it. I imagine it's an extra option when buying a ride. We just use cranes and people in harnesses. :p

I'm guessing you don't even need one unless it's hard to get a crane or lift near the track. Batman at SFWoA has one, which is over water, and it doesn't surprise me that Wildfire has one with the wacky terrain.

I was under theimpression that no park owned one but they were all hired from B&M is needed. I maybe wrong but I am sure that is what I heard.

Why would you rent one? If you're doing what you're supposed to do, you inspect the track very frequently, and you can't do that without the thing.

B:DK definetly does not have one. Too bad.

Doesn't Raptor have one?

I have never seen one for Raptor. This sounds like a new thing, not an 8 year old thing.

Raptor doesn't need one, anyways.

I had a picture of the one on WIldfire, but I think it got lost through cyberspace :)... too bad.... It's pretty neat though.

What do you mean too bad? lol, it's not like the ride is missing out on anything. It's a maintenance mechanism for crying out loud

There were photos of these things on some of the rides at the B&M booth...remember when I saw the thing saying to Jill "so THAT'S what they were talking about". As usual, she looked at me with that *oh, buzz* look. Some of you KNOW what look I'm talking about....;)
