What's up with the Bush parks?

I haven't seen any recent news about new attractions at any Bush/Sea World parks. Lately, it's been all Cedar Fair this, Six Flags that, and a few other smaller parks. Dose anyone know what plans, if any, are in store for the Bush/Sea World parks?

According to Scermscape, both of the Busch Gardens parks and Sea World San Diego will replace Pireates 4D with another 3D show. It is supposed to be about a Haunted Light House.

Yeah, that's true. BG:Williamsburg put in Apollo's Chariot not too long ago. Those parks are mostly zoo-like parks I guess. I was surprised with Kraken when it first came out, because I'd known Sea World as such a marine-life related park. Both BG parks have 2 great B&M's and that's good enough for me!

Bush? He's to busy to run any parks (sorry, running family gag-I know my family is boring:))

The busch parks however are supposed to get new 4d movies I believe. I wish BGW would build a major new coaster. Then again, I love it just the way it is (but would a flyer hurt?).

Sea World San Diego is getting a water coaster like Journey to Atlantis. But work for it has not started yet. It's part of their "Master Plan" which includes an educational center, parking structure, hotel.....etc. Oy, nevermind...Alf beat me to it.

All signs from the previous post about BGW point to Loch Ness Monster. My friend told me they already have removed the dragon from the "cave".

Sea World San Antonio is building a theater for "Haunted Lighthouse"

BGW, BGT and Sea World San Diego are also all supposed to get this same movie.

Also @ BGW I don't see a new coaster coming tell 2005 because we usually get something ever other year.
1995 Escape From Pompeii
1997 Alpengeist
1999 Apollo's Chariot
2001 Ireland, Corkscrew Hill
2003 Haunted Lighthouse 4D, Trappers Smokehouse, Coaster revamp
2005 new coaster (most likely) for when BGW turns 30
* our shows don't follow the ever other yearpolicy

*BGW is considering removing another coaster in 04 and u know it isn't one of the B&M's or the coaster that's being revamped for 03

Alpengeist:The worlds tallest at 196 ft, fastest at 67 mph and most twisted inverted coaster.

Well I didn't think there were any parks in the Bush, but I am not too familiar with parks in Africa. ;)

At BGT there is no Pirates 3D to replace. They're gutting the dolphin stadium to make room for R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse. Yes, the author of the Goosebumps series. Let's hope it turns out better than the lame Goosebumps attraction Disney had at its MGM park 4-5 years ago.

Well Swoosh, for what it is worth, Australia's Dreamworld and Wonderland Sydney are both built in eucalypt forested areas, which down here is called bush. It is certainly more 'bushy' than a lot of the scrub in Africa. :)

I've never been to one of the Busch parks myself, but photographs suggest to me, that they are very picturesque parks, with emphasis on scenery, as opposed to thrill rides, or theming (ie Disney/Universal 'fantasy' theming). Quite honestly, I believe that this creates a much better atmosphere than any other.

You've also got a selection of thrill rides, on top of the atmosphere, that are some of the best in the world - and the polls show that. If you want them to expand at a rate such as a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park (well, Cedar Point), then I think that is what you should expect from them. If you're like me, and would prefer a park with integrity, ie a balance of all aspects of a genuinely good 'family day out', then a Busch Gardens or similar would be right for you.

And as has to always be somehow intertwined with anything an Aussie says with regards to coasters - be happy with what you've got, you could always end up down here. ;)

So what if the best coaster in Australia is a second hand Arrow?

SW Orlando is building a shopping complex complete with restaurants and bars. They are trying to cater to the locals as they spend a lot of money at SW. Also, there is land clearing at an area of the park unrelated to the new construction.

Who knows what's next!

Where is the 'other' land clearing? The only land clearing that I know of is in that area that's under construction.

I don't know if that's a good thing to change Loch Ness. Its a classic I think. I hope they don't change the theme too much from what it is since its unique.

It would be great for them to remove the over the head restraints and replace them with something a little more comfortable. Doing so might make the overall ride a little smoother.

I believe the other land clearing in SWO is in the very back right of the park. I'll check it out on my next trip and report back.

I hope Morgan does the revamp work. They did an awesome job with PR (yeah I know it's a totally new ride after the second drop). I also hope the OTSR's are gone, so a tall person, like me, will have more comfort while riding it.
