CP Resorts

I just wanted to tell everyone if you want to stay at any of cp's resorts you AND your party has to be 21+. I called yestarday for resarvations for me and my g/f and they said she couldn't stay there cuz she is 18. Just a thought in case anyone makes resarvations.

Well you just say your party is over 21. They ask that for the liability issue on drinking. You can enter Ohio bars if you are 19. Reserve your room with a credit card, first,then just check in, get the extra keys, and say they will be along later, if all of your party is in the same room. Just keep the noise to a minimum, and they will not bother you.

Um, that really doesn't make any sense, seeing as how many families (read: adults with kids under 21) stay at CP resorts. Something is fishy, and it ain't the Lake Erie water.

Yeah, but kids under 21 staying with their parents aren't likely to fill the tub with ice and tie one on. :)

Seriously, I'm OK with the policy. Underage consumption generally isn't a good thing in that sort of environment where you have families, not to mention my tired butt (who probably had several tall ones at Friday's). Not only that, but consumption is the least of the problem... there are other problems like date rape, arson, destruction of property, etc.

I for one don't think it's fair to make generalizations about people of that age, but since I was in that bracket not-so-long ago, I also remember what it's like. Not everyone was a saint like me. ;)

My girlfriend and I ran into the same problem last year. I was over 21 but she was not. We went anyway, just say yes your both over 21, then when you get there just check in, they wont ask for everyones id, just yours as long as your the only one there at the moment of check in time.

Actually, I think the trailing end of the policy is something like 'unless accompanied by a parent or guardian'. Sorry, but your average twenty-something is not likely to be the 'guardian' of someone around 17-20. I've run into that problem with my cousins before as they are still a little young, but as stated above, treat it like an interview, tell them what they want to hear, and go about your business. But if you cause trouble (which I'm sure you wouldn't ;)) be prepared for the consequences.
