I'm running a destop dell as well. Hubby said it installed with no problems. I did have to upgrade my PC from 128 to 256 to prevent slow downs after about 20 minutes.

It might be easier if you could explain what problems you are having.

Do you have a CD-Burner?

CPLady:

It hangs at 21% on install with the message: "CRC Error: The file C:\Program files\Infogames\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2\data\css9.dat doesn't match the file in the setup's . cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor"

I then have choices of aborting, ignoring or retrying. I have tried all choices, to no avail.

OK, I got further along by clicking "Ignore" for all of the error messages while installing. It still won't go and the game's website has been no help.

What the hell is it with this thing?!?

Have you tried contacting your software vendor?

Try re-installing Direct X, my friend's didn't work either, but then he re-installed direct x, and it did..

Sounds to me like something happened at the factory while your CD was getting made...

I had to download a new video driver for my computer so it would run halfway decent (I have a 98 IBM Aptiva)
