From what I remember, the Eagle has been re-tracked on both sides withing the last few years. That lumber I am sure is just to replace rotting wood. Common thing that I am sure they do in sections every year.
Now, as far as a complete paint job, I dont think they have done that in quite awhile (and it needs it badly).

2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity. :)
Wow! I think I'm more excited about this than our new Beemer. I am astonished by the effort a *gasp* Six Flags park is doing to repair and preserve a classic wood coaster. Take that Cedar Fair. Seriously though, that helix did need a retrack, while I liked it, it's bad when my brother won't take a re-ride with me because the helix gave him a headache.
Anyway, enough about a good decision, does anybody know if a new paint job could accompany a retracking job?

The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.
Yikes, I'm going to SFGAm on Saturday but wow...Shockwave gone, American Eagle red down for the year, Deja Vu being Deja Vu (is it even open now or what?)...lines are going to be unbelieveable!
Oh well I still get to see tons of awesome people so all is not lost. :)
