That is a really good question, I never thought of that. Come to think of it; how do they get the car on any freefall ride without using a wicked tall crane? And how do you take it off every year for maintenance. If its a multi-tower structure you can't just remove the crown structure. There's gotta be another way.-----------------

Yeah,I 'm sure that's how the gyro drop car is installed,of course on the 1st generation giant drop(drop zone @ PGA) the cars are attached to their own individual guide rail on the tower making it much easier to install & remove.
It should be really fun watching PKD's drop zone going up,305 ft that is.
