Checking restraints on Disaster Transport

What!? They didn't yank up on all the lapbars on Disaster Transport? I'm never going to Cedar Point again. They should have had a ride op on both sides of the platform pulling on them because somebody's going to fall out. Somebody's going to die on that ride.

You all want to see "loose" procedures, head on down to Dania Beach.....ROFL. Visual inspection of lapbars is the most you'll get, and even that is *iffy*. With the amazingly tight lapbar springs, (rivaled only by Twister), you'll get PLENTY of airtime, more than even Dick Kinzel could ever want...:)

Thanks Rideman, that does make more sense now, any mechanical failure would probably be caught when it left the unloading station. Makes you wonder why they don't have similar restraint systems on every ride, though I'm sure there's a good reason for it. Anyone have any ideas?

Gemini's bars I believe are on the same mechanism for each side. If one is locked they are both locked. In fact if you push up and down on one side the other sometimes moves a bit.

Oh, okay. I didn't notice that, but that would explain it; however, on Saturday, they *were* checking both sides. *shrug*
