Keep in mind that some names have been changed in the game, so what you might think is new, isn't. For example, a Top Spin is really a Top Spin.

Nope. Only new thrill rides are the magic carpet and the snow-cups, that we've already seen. There are some other new transport rides (tram and elevator), a new gentle ride (double-decker observation tower, like at Cedar Point), and some new variations on existing rides (soap-box cars for single-rail coaster, for instance), as well as the new coaster types. But very little in the way of new flat rides at all.
My major disappointments that I hope are filled in an expansion pack are the lack of a first generation free-fall (Cedar Point's "Demon Drop"), and a Wave-Swinger (as you mentioned).
