Flying Freefall?

I have never heard of one, but I could be mistaken, check this.

Have a flying coaster type restraint on a freefall, so you are laying down facing the ground. You would load facing up and at the top of like a 300 foot tower you would flip facing down, while lying down. You then plummet towards earth and when the ride stop's, flip back over and get off. Just a thought.

There is something somewhat similiar to what you are saying in England. Apocolypse at Drayton Manor. It's simply a stand-up Intamin Freefall. When you get to the top, the seats lean out. I'm not sure as of how much they lean out, but I know they do. Not really a flying freefall, but a stand-up one. They are slightly similiar.

I think it tilts ~30 degrees.

I know what you are talking about but Skycoasters are kind of like that. Really fun rides but expensive.

Even though it is possible, it is highly unlikely that it'd ever happen, and here's why. For stealth, the reason that you go through the loop and corkscrew on your back is because the chest-region of the human body cannot take the ammount of g's durring those elements. If you were to "fly" on a freefall, you would be on your chest, which wouldn't beable to support the g's at the end.

Wouldn't a sky coaster be basically the closest thing to a flying freefall?

How many g's are at the end of the freefall? I would think the neck would be more of a concern.

That would be one wicked ride if they could overcome the safety issues.

Don't the skycoasters only give us around 60 feet of freefall before entering the arc? Imagine getting 3 times the freefall before the braking begins...

Explain to me then, why X-Flight will have you "flying" through its corkscrews? BOOM! :)

They aren't going to be corkscrews on X-Flight. There going to be 2 in line twists in place of the corkscrews.

For what it's worth, they're corkscrews. They APPEAR to be rolls because that's how Vekoma corkscrews look. Example is any SLC. If you look at the track, they look like heartlines, but they are actually corkscrews. Same thing on X-Flight.
