Doesn't New Jersey already have a speed limit? I could have sworn I saw them posted on the interstate.

Yeah, the speed limit on coasters will probably be 120 MPH.

Oh, like I didn't see that coming. What's next? Limiting the track length? The colors of the rides? What a joke.

Hasn't New Jersey also limited the force that can be on Airgates?

I'm sick of Jersey cause I live there and my parents pay 7,000 dallars taxes every year for nothing. Everything is so expensive in Jersey, just look at the prices at SFGADv.

How many dollars is in a dallar? ;) Does NJ have their own currency?

Seriously, why can't the industry just regulate it's self? With all of the lawyers these days, why on earth would a park build something unsafe. Just politicians looking for a soapbox to stand on.

Next they'll say:

-no more than 10 coasters in a park

-5 loop maximum

-Nitro's is too bright, repaint it brown and black

-Woodies are too rough for children, must be atleast 13 to ride

-Vekoma is banned from the state

-No hyper coaster because I(Ed Markey) am a big baby!!!

Seriously, though: A speed limit on coasters could set a dangerous precedent. I think it's something we should be concerned about. Someone said we should do something about all this, make our views (which just happen to be backed up by the laws of physics) known. The question is, what can we do? I mean, a few hundred people spread thoughout the states and the world are hardly an effective lobby. And not too many of us live in New Jersey.

I don't suppose anyony of you old timers here were in on any dirty tricks from the sixties that could help defeat Markey in the next election?

(Note sarcasm in second paragraph)

No matter how much we know how stupid these rules are, the people are still buying it. Why? Why? Why? Thank god that I have seen some articles which show the stupidity of these rules.

Look CPismyhome I'm not in the mood for your smart mouth I just had ear surgery and I'm pretty dizzy so just lay off my spelling mistake I can hardly keep my eyes open to begin with. When your tired you don't think.

Anyway I know my parents money doesn't go to SFGAdv but it goes to the government who make the laws for Jersey.

Wow, sucks to live in 'Jursee.

Sometimes I think that the legislature over on the East Coast is a little "too gun-ho". Come to Missouri where there are no silly rules like that. :)

Well, they could just pull an SFMW and claim that a coaster is going the limit when it's actually going well about the limit. ;)

This is also pretty darn ridculous, as we all know, because more speed means absolutely nothing for forces and safety.

A rollercoaster? What's that?
