WARNING! DON'T USE NOLIMITS V1.26!!!!

WARNING: There is an issue in the newest update (v.1.26) that can do harm to the monitor. The download link is removed until I have fixed the problem! It is strongly recommended not to use the simulator program for v.1.26. I am trying to fix it as soon as possible!

Glad I didn't download it cuz I figured it would kill my FPS. How exactly does it do harm? Would it hurt LCD?

Hmm, that's on my mind, too. Will it hurt LCD? I have the patch and there hasn't been any strange things going on. Some people said that half or 1/3 of their screen would go black. It has something to do with the refresh rate. As for FPS, it doesn't kill it too much for me.

it doesn't hurt my compy and I've been using it since Sunday.

don't worry about the fps, they're fine. leave everything on the defaults and it should be fine.

how do you undo an update? it killing my FPS aswell.

If you have windows XP, go to control panel, add/remove programs. Click on Nolimits. A prompt will come up on the screen saying if you hit yes the whole game will be uninstalled and if you hit no, the 1.26 update will be the only item taken out. thats what happened to me. I'm guessing if you have windows 98, the whole game will be uninstalled.

What does FPS mean? I've been using it for a couple of days. The first time I used the simulator the screen was too long. After that I just changed something in settings and it was fine.

Is this update problem really bad? or is this problem happening with some people computers not all?

I haven't had it yet. I'd bet it is a grapics card problem more than anything (though I have no way to back that up.)

Maybe this is only happening on slower computers? I have a relatively good machine, and the FPS is being slaughtered w/ all the options on the best settings, but the monitor still works.

Hmmm.Most of my coasters are old woodies and my frame rate is still in the mid to high 20's when it slows down. No problems on my system.

I uninstalled just the 1.26 update.If you have to, uninstall the game completely, but make a back up of the game 1st if you have a way to do it, then reinstall the game but without the 1.26 update. A good idea maybe if you don't have a way to back up the game is to send it to an email address you have and then when you're ready, reinstall the game.

I download the zip file but never installed it. I can say that I am glad that I did not. I have now removed the zip file.

I believe I know what you are referring to when you are mentioning the issues with the monitor. Downloading v1.26 will not harm your monitor, you may, however, have an issue with the refresh rate and resolution.

When I d/l'd v1.26 and started the simulator, I had these problems where I couldn't see a thing on the monitor. In laymens terms, there were black and colored squiggly lines. To correct the problem I uninstalled the v1.26 patch only. Then I reloaded the No Limits Simulator in v1.25, changed the resolution to the lowest setting, then reinstalled the patch.

That corrected the problem, then I toyed with the resolution settings until it was all worked out. I found some trouble running the game using trilinear buffering and at 1024 x 800 resolution. Hope that corrects the problems that people may experience with the patch.

I've only had an error message dialog box come up when my computer starts... the bug doesn't seem to becausing any damage.
