amusement park dorms

what parks allow there employees to stay in dorms. I know of cedar point, but are there any others?

Well I don't know most parks don't have people brought in to work there, PKI's workers are mainly in-towners and since Cincinnati is a bigger town than Sandusky they need the workers from eveyr country in the world.

I think SFGAm in Gurnee has a dorm. I'm not real sure though.

SFGAm has a deal set up with a couple apartment complexes for employees. They offer reasonable rent, and bus service to and from the park.

If they ever get the waterpark project going, its also supposed to include employee housing.

Building dorms is what SFGAdv needs to fixtheir staffing issues. If they provided housing, they might get enough employees to run ALL of the rides at the SAME time thus allowing their guests a better value.

CP is the only park I know for sure with housing, although I here that some SF parks have housing. I was offered a job by CF at Camp Snoopy at the Mall Of Americia. They at first were offering housing and transportation but backed out of the housing deal at the last minute. That is why I didn't take the job.

Man, I bet those dorms have some wild stories to tell...

Six Flags Great Adventure do have dorms, you can see them on your right on Nitro. You have to be 18 and be in college to live in them though.

nitroman, aside from that you have ot work at the aprk and live more than 30 miles away. then you can live in the dorm! anyone witha commute of 1/2 hour or less cannot live their.

Valleyfair does. WOF has agreements for discounts with area apartments.

Valleyfair also has one called Valleyfair Common's. You have to live at least 50 miles away in order to stay there and what ever they charge to stay out there which I'm not sure it's taken out of your check.

Yes, Valleyfair has dorms. Yes the rent is taken from your check. It is directly proportionate to the number of hours you work. The more hours you work, the more they take. The maxmimum is approximately $35.. And yes, you must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the park to qualify to live in the dorms. Valleyfair also provides a rent subsidy program which provides rent assitance to those people living in apartments/rooms/houses with permanent addresses at least 50 miles from the park. The dorms aren't meant to be much more than sleeping quarters with 4 bunk-style beds, 4 lockers, two dressers, a simple chair, and a telephone.

Sounds Backwards to me....the MORE hours you work, the LESS time you spend at the dorms....;)

Indiana Beach has the bunkhouse located above the gift shop, some motel rooms for girls, cottages, several sites off the park, and the "swamp" on the north side of the ballroom.

I think PKI uses the UC dorms most of the time. If you stay late enough you will see a bus come and pick up a lot of employees and I think they take them to UC

SFGAM uses dorms at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Its about 30 minutes away and is where they house most of their International employees.
