Theme Park Employee

I would say that working in a theme park is an enjoyable experience if you know how to have fun and deal with a lot of frustrated people, especially at the major rides when height requirements come into play.

slithernoggin I absolutely loved working at Cedar Point, and that's why I keep going back every year. Sure, it's lots of hours (LOTS), people are hard to deal with sometimes, and there are a lot of rules, but it's just such a...happy place! Everyone is there to have a good time and the good guests FAR outnumber the bad ones, at least as far as I'm concerned. The atmosphere rules and I love everybody I've met there and look forward to going back. It's not for everybody, I'll give you that, but then what job is?

I work at Hersheypark.

The first job I ever had was at King's Island in 1982. I didn't care too much about it. I worked in one of the shops on International Street. I wanted to be a ride op, but back then you couldn't be a ride op until you had worked there for one year already. It was cool to be able to go whenever you wanted to ride the rides free, but I ended up quitting after only a few weeks.
