Anyone who thinks that this purchase will cause Six Flags to fail hasn't considered it's main source of income. The average schmo is going to arrive at the front gate, see the Six Flags logo, and say "I didn't know Six Flags owned this place?", and then shrug it off and proceed in, paying just as much as last season, or possibly more.
Scenario 2: If the parks are "Connected" and are both accessible by one admission, the GP are just going to say "I didn't know Six Flags owned this place, but hey, 2 parks for the admission of 1, that's more rides for my money."
Either way, us enthusiasts are the only ones who will notice (or care) about the ownership switch.
