New Japanese Prototype

I didnt see anyone post this yet, so I will. This is a new prototype from Japan called Sledge Hammer.

The technology of the rolling seat it used pretty much makes you ride parallel with the ground at all times. So basibally you'll ride on the top, bottom (inverted), fowards, and then backwards at some points. I can't really explain it, take a look for yourself.

Yeah, I can't find it but theres a blue print for the seats of a new beemer prototype. If someone has it thatd be sweet.

In any case, it is something I would like to ride!

The patent for this ride was posted on CB a while back. Most of us (including me) mistook this for B&Ms next big thing- or maybe it was B&Ms patent.

I would LOVE to ride one of these.

Sorry about that, I looked this up and couldn't find anyone posting it or the B&M one either. I still want to see some information on the Beemer blue prints I thought I saw.

Still a kool prototype though.

WHOA! That looks DOPE!!! It actually looks like it would be a lot more reliable than X also, without all the stress on the joints. However, when it is in the inverted position, what prevents you from hitting your hands on the top? I don't think the seats are far enough away from the chassis. Ouch... that would hurt!

Pretty nifty, huh? A full scale prototype was built even before X. And you thought X was the first 4d..... :)

I'll be interested to see if one ever get's installed. I saw their flyer first hand (didn't get to ride it :( ) and it looked pretty fun!

This was posted a while back. There was decent debate over the maker was (just off a blue print) then someone proved it wasen't with the link you put up.(If I remeber correctly)

Yeah it has been talked about that prototype some time ago but it's still pretty cool :) I hope it'll get built soon. About the B&M prototype you're talking about, it was only a new kind of loading a flyer train, nothing else!

Checking out Frigh Time is a good idea to see what Hoei Sangyo and other companies has made and what other prototypes they have. Can't belive some of you has missed that site :-p

So the riders are ALWAYS in an upright position? That seems kind of strange. It sounds like kind of a waste of a ride with such innovation to not have inversions. Maybe the action of the track layout would make the seats roll over, like on a Zipper, except more predictable?
