Well that petition most likely played the smaller role in Whizzer's stay.

The actual park visitors themselves and those phone lines ringing off the hook are what made the biggest difference.

I don't believe it was a stunt at all. People that believe that either hate six flags or are overly pessimistic. I think that they just realized what kind of mistake they were going to do. Most of the people here have a longer history with whizzer than six flags does, and means a lot more to them. And then they looked at all of the options. Shockwave has all of the room you want, and not that many people like it. It is also in a dead area of the park which needed to be fixed, and will with i think 2 coasters next year. It just made sense to change their mind.

Stunt or not, I don't care either way. I'm just glad Whizzer is staying. I avoid Shockwave and won't miss it if it does go.

And besides, look at all the "buzz" this has started. :)
