Best Smelling Lift Hill

My vote would have to be Ghostrider at dinnertime, but I havent been on a seaside coaster or to Hershey Park, so help me out: what ride best takes full assault on the underrated sense of smell?

I would say coasting up any lifthill at Hersheypark, OR, going up Thunderbolt at Kennywood if the wind is blowing off the Potato Patch at the right angle.

For some reason I found Tuesdays the best smelling at Hershey.

My favorite smelling lift has to be the Phoenix. I think it's due to the musty smell of the tunnel and the oil from the chain making that "special" aroma.

Im not sure about you, but the Cornball Express, I think will have the most distinctive smell ;)

I don't really smell lift hills, but the BKF station at SFO definately has the best smell for a station. I can't describe it, but it faded some as the season went on (maybe some kind of wood or something they used). Anywho that smell pry won't be around this season.

I agree with the first one. Ghostrider all the way! I have only been there once, but will never forget that smell. For those who don't know, Ghostrider's lift is right next to Mrs. Knott's famous chicken diner restaurant. (What's the real name of that place?)

On a side note: I smelled that on Ghostrider, and it enticed me to eat there. I never ate so much in my life! Between the boysenberry jelly, pie, juice, and all that other boysenberry stuff, I thought I'd be peeing purple for a week!

The one and only time I've been to Hershey, this September, it didn't smell. Can you smell chocolate from the coasters sometime?

Whatever that smell is I got on Thunderbolt, I want no more of.

One I got whiff of Train Smoke when going up the Millennium Force, I like that smell, And it smell's good 310'11" at the top too!

Why did no one metion the fountain behind Raptor Bathroom, that is the coldest I think.

They should make coaster cologne for the lift hills!!

I would have to say Ghostrider. If only the lift was slower. I am drewling over here just thinking about that smell. Nice topic by the way. What's next? Best Tasting Lift Hill. The Lift Hill that is less filling but will never let you down.

I know what you mean, Peabody. Even Kennywood's yummy fries come no where near the heavenly Knotts kitchen. We took home enough boysenberry pies to last us a month.

It's not unusual for people to notice the smell on Ghostrider, so I guess you guys would have to ride it to think of this as a orthodox topic! Long live the nose!

I never really paid attention. But the LINE to the Beast smells wonderful if you are standing right next to LaRosa's!!

I'm 2 for 2 so far!!!

For me is was the Legend. Opening weeked the fresh smell of wood filled the air. Flying through the tunnels at top speed with the sweet smell of fresh wood was great. I guess the same can be said of any new woody.

I like the smell when you first enter the queue on Incredible Hulk. The coldest water fountain at Cedar Point is the one near Disaster Transport.

Wow... winter comes and coaster enthusiasts have nothing better to talk about than the smell of lift hills! I'd have to say the Racer at Kennywood. Gotta love the smell of that grease!
