The most vicious kiddie coaster

I just got to thinking about this after having a very vicious ride on MIA Big Dipper which threw me around and had some crazy air. Previously I have thought Woodstock Express was pretty vicious, more so then the Mine ride.

I guess what I am getting at is where have you rode the most vicious kiddie coaster? I am not talking about family coasters so Runaway Reptar, Beastie, Junior CCI's and the like do not count.

Wild kiddie coasters? Try the ROLLOCOASTER at Idlewild. Or the "cyclone" (madmouse) at Wonderland in TX. Ouch! Holy rib-cracker batman!

The Dragon Coaster at Dorney has some serious lateral G's that catch you by surprise.

Here we go into deffinitions again...

Not even getting into this debate, however I will say that I don't count Rollo Coaster as a Kiddie Coaster... that falls more in the line of Family or Junior.

Personally, I think if it is so small that they send you around twice, it is a kiddie coaster... Of course you run into Knoebels High Speed Thrill Coaster where they send you around 5+ times.

Reminds me of the "argument" I got into with a person on another sight who claimed that Dutch Wonderland's Sky Princess was a Kiddie Coaster.

Lil' Phantom at Kennywood is wicked. I rode that once with my daughter and will never ride it again. I'd expect a bruise from say Villain or Big Dipper, but not one from a kiddie coaster. Well I got one from Lil' Phantom that lasted a good week.

I found High Speed Thrill Coaster to be vicious.

I loved Dragon Coaster...a big sucker for good theming. HSTC was right up there, as was MiA's Big Dipper (talk about poorly named rides!)....but the one I must mention was one of the highlights of the Con for me - Canyon Blaster....nice hills, tight helix, and a massive ending of short bunnies...my kidneys still hurt...

The Howler at HW definetly is the roughest. I was thrown side to side alot. And it hurt.

The most vicious is easily Tiger Terror at Wild Adventures. This thing jerks you up onto the lift hill which shakes you to heck and back, you go down a way tilted turn, do a helix, and make another bootyslappin' drop back into the station and do the horrid thing all over again.

I agree that Dragon Coaster was nice though.

Koaster King, I should be punished for neglecting my nearest parks' wild kiddie coaster...the Gold Rush is not all that "tame" either....but TT has the coolest trains, and the pneumatic restraints are unique.....

I've been on lots of kiddie coasters that have one little hill that will wrench my back and catch me by surprise. MiA Big Dipper, HW Howler, Knoebles Hi Speed Thrill Coaster, SCBB Sea Dragon just to name a few.

For laterals, I've heard the back seat of Bumper to Bumber Freeway at Adventure City is insane. Even though I live in Orange County, I have never been there.

Soggy, GO! Adventure City treated us great when we were there, honestly it was the hit of the Con.....Tree Top Racers is cool with nice cars and an interesting helix finish for a mouse, and B2B climbs right over a tree branch....cool flats, too. The next time you have a kid with you and a couple hours, I really recommend AC....

Definitely Woodstock Express...for a ride that's aimed at kids it's intense. I've rode some others (not too many) but Woodstock is the only one that's really impressed me. But I don't count Road Runner's Express at SFKK (not sure on this one but sometimes wild mice are marketed as kiddie or family coasters). It has the best laterals in the park, even better than Chang.

rollergator, I'll have to hi-jack my niece sometime. She is 5 and a half, and likes roller coasters. (she already has a track record of 5 coasters, including the Matterhorn) I was going to take her to SFMM when she hits 48". She was 47.5" a few months ago, so she might be there. In the meantime, sounds like I need to hit AC.

Here's another vote for the Lil' Phantom at Kennywood. My kids, 4 and 6, really love it. But when I ride with them, OUCH! Definitely not designed for adults! I really miss the old Little Dipper at KP. Rumor has it that it's still in storage somewhere in the park. I'd love for them to rebuild it, it was a great family ride.
