Xcelerator Launch Track Fins?

If you look at the track in this photo, you can see two rows of what look like "fins" sticking out of the top of the track. If Xcelerator uses a hydraulic lauch, what are those fins for?

The fins are magnetic brakes that pop up after the train has passed that section of track. It's in case the train rolls back from the top hat.

Millenniumrider is right. They can stop the car if it rolls back.

They are probably brakes in case something goes wrong and the train does not reach full speed. They would keep the train from comming back into the station. I think they are running two trains.

They are brakes to bring the train into the station slowly incase the ride short shots and rolls back. They are lowered when the lights go to staged and com back up in sections after the train has cleared that section. The 2nd train is in the turnaround while the other train is in the 1st 12 seconds of the ride.

Some of the brake run fins are also able to be raised and lowered. It is a very cool system to witness.

I'd just like to point out that they are not brake fins, rather they are copper fins that the magnet on the train will "catch" in the event of a rollback...
