Well, I didn't think that the Anaconda was that bad, but that might of been because I was riding it extemely carefully.

Its been mentioned, but the Loch Ness Monster is still one of the greatest coasters still running. Always a line. And don't forget the Gemini at Cedar Point. Always nice to have that speed with only lap bars.

I don't think the CP Corkscrew is rough.

I also don't think Steel Phantom was re-rideable.

While Viper (SFMM) is the smoothest I have ridden, I have heard Canyon Blaster (in Vegas) is their smoothest.

I hear great reviews about Gemini also, but it isnt an Arrow looper. It seems the loopers are Arrows nightmare for the most part.

I don't find any Arrow looper really rough, it's just the violent transitions that some of the make. Most Arrows run very well, but the trackbending made then is just not as good as whats made now.

Has Maggie gotten rough in the last few years?

Yes the model scrambler is scratch-built, as is everything else. The only kits available in N scale (half the size of H.O.) are the ferris wheel and carousel shown on my page. Even my log flume works!

Antuan,

should have clairified ;) I'm refering to Magnum XL-200. I know its not a looper, but some of this post has to do with how arrow's biggest faults are the transition into the inversion. I wanted to know how the older non loopers are currently running now in comparison to when they opened.

I thought Magnum was fairly rough when I rode it un July, 2000. The bottom of the first drop really tore my neck up.

That's because they weren't taking care of it. Several cars had bad axles. A bad road wheel can be uncomfortable, but bad axles make the entire car rock back and forth. I knew on ride in particular it was going to be bad as it wobbled up the lift.

The good news is they're allegedly going beyond the standard overhaul this winter, replacing seats, floor panels, maybe even the fiberglass bodies. I can't wait to see!

Jeff, this is off the subject, but are they going to repaint Mantis (the coaster formerly known as Banshee) and Blue Streak anytime soon? The park does such a great effort to keeping their rides clean and neat, its too bad that these rides havent been in the budget lately.

It is my understanding that Raptor will be painted this year, Magnum next, then Mantis.

Funny, I thought Mantis needed it the most.
