Where can I purchase Coaster Magazines and which ones are the best?

I like Amusement Today, try it.

I get Amusement Today. I think it's pretty good. It keeps up to date on what's going on in the coaster/park industry and also advertizes for different companies. It's pretty good and not that expensive. It's like $35 a year.

You really can't purchase coaster magazines. You have to subscribe. I've been a subscriber of several magazines for coasters and if you're looking for the best, join the European Coaster Club at www.coasterclub.com and subscribe to them. Yes, it's based in England but their magazine First Drop is the best magazine I have found that is related to coasters. It's $43.00 per year, but worth it. They put it out six times per year and they cover EVERYTHING around the world. Even us here in the states. Actually, when compared to ACE, First Drop covers more information about our rides and parks than the ACE publications do. Every issue averages around 40-50 pages each issue. Sometimes even more as one issue got up to 88 pages. In addition they also have several pages of color and are always adding more when possible.

As I always say, if you're looking to attend coaster related events join ACE or a small club near your area. If you're looking for the best reading material, join the European Coaster Club.

Search ebay. Many times, I've found coaster magazine up for sale.

I would join ACE. The publications are excellant as are the sponsored events!

ACE and ECC are worth joining. Amusement Today is very good, too. Aside from those, the options are somewhat limited.

why pay for a coaster magizine when you get up to the minuite update at sites like this

Well I am a member of the ECC and themagazine is superb. There is also a large number of American members now so I would not be surprised if trips for American members are arranged over e-mail, if only for meet-ups.

Has anyone gotten the latest issue of First Drop? I haven't recieved a new issue and it has been almost 3 months.

I haven't recieved a new issue of First Drop either. Guess they're a little behind or perhaps this will be a bigger issue or something. I'm hoping to recieve it before I go away with ACE to the European Coaster Odyseey. Perhaps it will be sitting at my table when I get back. I'm gonna have a big pileup of mail when I get back after being away for 2 1/2 weeks. Otherwise, it's still worth the wait a little for this great magazine. They're suppose to ship out every two months on average.

Also, while on the subject of First Drop, I am searching for issue #52 to add to my collection. It's the only one I don't have. If anyone has an extra copy in excellent condition please let me know either by e-mail or just mention it on this topic forum and I'll e-mail you. Thanks.
