Japan Coasters?
-Fujiyama was made black and gray to symbolize strength(it their thing, I don't get either)
-Air Thrust coaster come in white as a standard, I don't think they've gotten into a variety of color yet
-Linear Gale is black because it's black, no explination for that
-All but one Ultra Twister is white, so since Japan has quite a few, you'll see a lot of white
-Sansei, a Japanese manufactuer, is acustomed to making their coasters white
-Expoland has built all their coasters in white to go with a very unique theme to the park, I can't explain it but it's got a lot to do with spirits and peace.
-Senyo is known for there many adventure coasters following the fashion of Schwarzkopf's non loopers, and they are usually seen in agua, white, or blue.

Lake Compounce-So Fresh and So Clean Clean
Blue and white are supposed to be relaxing, peaceful colors. Due to the high stress lifestyle that many lead in Japan, I wonder if the parks were just looking for something a little more peaceful looking...just a guess.

Having gone to many of the parks, I can say that many coasters get hidden in the cracks in Japan. Go to Nagashima Spaland, and you can't even see 2 of the rides without some investigation. Expoland does come off a little boring due to the whiteness of the rides, but I can assure you it is also really interesting to take the train by the park, and look at all that white. To see Orochi, the Raptor clone, in a white with pinkish track is a tad lame, but the ride is better in my book than the original. I don't care about colors. I like the weirdness of Japan. The beauty and the strangeness. A friend of mine once called Japan "the land of Zen and sugar-free cotton candy." I couldn't agree more. I can't wait to move there.

I actually have a resonable explanation as to why Japanese coasters are white..
In Japan, white is considered to be a lucky colour. Along with blessing their automobiles, white cars are extremely popular. White cars cost more money to buy in Japan...
I'm assuming that since white is a lucky colour in Japan, they'd like to paint their coasters white as well, as a form of good luck!!
