The original design idea behind this was for car manufactures to buy the wheel and put their cars on for a car show or for in a show room. It was meant to be an impressive gimmick to draw people to their stand and to get people to test sit in their cars. I though that is was a good idea, but I agree this just looks silly.

Wow, Very interesting. I think I'd try it, in someone elses car of course ;)
