loops or airtime?

AIRTIME BABY. Probably the reason they don't incorporate airtime into loopers is because of the OTSR's restrict vertical movement. Goliath SFMM Rocks.

Airtime! If you were to close your eyes through an inversion, you wouldn't even know you went through it, but on an airtime hill, you definately would. So my decision is airtime.

AIRTIME!!! How can you resist it? Best when it catches you by surprise!

Oh, I'll hear hell for it, but I love the inversions on Viper af SFMM. The loops are intense but the corkscrews have hangtime... perfect!

Now it is Spped/Airtime but when I started riding coasters I liked loop for the fun of going upside down but that doesn't really excite me anymore.

Airtime, and speed, but airtime can be found in interesting places sometimes. Back right seat on Hulk without being stapled, I was floating out of my seat all the way through the twist and down the first hill... (On multiple occasions, so it wasn't a one-time lucky ride)

Count me in as an airtime junkie, doesn't necessarily have to be fast, just give me air. I personally think inversions are overrated. Don't get me wrong, I do like them but I think that they tend to get overdone on some coasters. Arrow corkscrews for instance, they really don't do anything for me anymore (with the exception of the hangtime on Vortex). I love just about any inversion on an inverted coaster, but would love to see an airtime inverted with an inline twist thrown in.

As far as someone saying that coasters haven't been created with both airtime and inversions, this is not true. Manhatten Express has airtime and inversions, it's even got a bunny hop. I would think that you would get some air on the now extinct Steel Phantom. And just about every looper I've ever been on has at least some airtime, usually the first or second hill, but it exists.

I like both a lot, but after a long off season, I crave AIR so much I just can't wait to ride an airpacked woodie like Raven or Cornball Express. After one dose you just must have more airtime, it's probably as bad as nicotine.

I haven't ridden a pure airtime machine :(. Thats what PKI will do to ya, but I would like to say you can get both on Vortex at PKI in the back seat. If you put your legs up on the drop then you will be out of your seat. Also the slow corkscrews are very nice.

Please thats an easy one.....airtime. Nothing like it! Loops get old after a while. IMO

Negative G's over Positive anyday. Excpet in cases like the Beast, Sonny, or Mindbender.

I prefer airtime, inversions don't thrill me at all.

Airtime is the most important thing for me. In order for a looper to excite me at all, it has to have a twist. And B&M does a great job of that. B&M's track layouts leave wandering what's next. Whereas say an Arrow looper, or a Vekoma boomerang is just basic, and plain boring for me. So, airtime is good no matter what, and loopers, have to do something special for me. Airtime all the way.

Oh, what a simple question!

One coaster that illustrates my view is Shockwave at SFoT. Even though it's known for its super-intense loops, every single ride I look forward to its graciously airtime-packed mid section.

I could care less about loops (even though they're still mucho enjoyable... :)

I rode Talon last week, and Great Bear, GB had a better roll. On GB I got so much airtime, but on Talon I just felt laterals. ( Im talking about the Zero G rolls ).

I perfer Speed/Airtime. Nitro knocked my socks off!

Airtime....nothing compares.

Airtime and speed are much, much better. After a few experiences, loops get old. Airtime is still fun after a long time. Vertical loops are overrated. O G rolls and corkscrews are fun, but gimme a good ole' airtime hill over them anyday. I think the GP agrees with me, because usually hypers and woodies have longer lines than loopers. It could be just because hypers are tall and new, though.

I Also Agree Airtime and Speed is better anyday
