ArrowBATic

Anyone have an idea where I can see pictures of the ArrowBATic rides? I've never seen one.

There are none built but you can see what it would be like on Arrow's website.

are arrowBATics basically inverted wild mouse coasters with inversions?

any ideas why none have ever been built?

Ya thats exactly what they are. Its a very compact ride with inversions, tight turns and vertical drops. The cars hold 4 people I believe. It looks like a great ride. None are installed anywhere, but rumor has it PKI will get the first one named The Bat.

I've tried looking for it on Arrow's site, but the site works as well as The Bat, Drachen Fire, X.....

I think someone forgot to turn on the "sarcasm alert" here. The Bat is long gone. It was built at PKI and was removed after a few years of operation due to numerous problems.

They brought back the coaster style that was the Bat...So why not bring the name back?

Seems like a nice foot print there for an Arrowbattic...

I doubt theres going to be an ArrowBATic there. I'm sure we'll get one but it won't be a one of a kind by the time PKI gets one.

im personally think we are going to see the arrowBATic go the same way as loads of other great coaster designs like setpoints floorless, giovanola tilt, fabbri and caripro inverted coasters, in other words, look very promising but never be built. i mean, arrowBATic was first shown at the '99 IAAPA show, and there have been no signs of any arrowBATic even being planned!

i would love to see an arrowbatic but i just dont think that we ever will!

it's probably because it's a relativly low capacity ride, but because it is a prototype, it will be much more expensive than a diffrent ride.

I just want to clarify a few things about the ride. It seats 5 people with 2 in the front row and 3 in the back row. Arrow has designed two layouts, a family varient and a more thrilling variant. The family model is akin to a inverted wild mouse, but it does more than just hairpin turns and bunny hills. The extreme model features a vertical drop, several inversions (of which one of them is a new inversion, I think) and I would consider it more than a inverted wild mouse.

Because Arrow is bankrupt. Granted this sounds like a fun ride, but I'm not too high on bigger parks like CP, SFMM or PKI getting one... what a capacity nightmare. That's probably why none of the parks I mentioned have a Wild Mouse either.

Yes, but remember that CP and SFMM recently got into the shuttle market (WT for CP and S:TE and Deja Vu for SFMM). None of these rides have stellar capacity, but they got built. I think that these could be well worth the investment, pending the outcome of Arrow's bankruptcy. At PKI they have three coasters with terrible capacity, Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster, RRR, and the FaceOff. A family version of the Arrowbatic could do well over near the Hanna-Barbera area or the intense version in KC's old site would be supasweet.

I forgot WildCat at CP, also not the best with capacity. I'm only citing these examples to show that although the bigger parks like people eaters, not every coaster has to follow that trend, just most of them.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an Arrowbatic (I'm not doing all the capitalizations) go where the KC site is. It's a good fit. PKI is known for goin out on the edge or proto types and they also have a good realtions ship with Arrow. The Bat, Vortex, Adventure Express, Top Gun, and Screamin Demon.

PkI FaNaTiC - out of those Arrow rides you mentioned only The Bat was a prototype. Also, the People That Know [tm] have already told you over and over and over and over and over and over and over that PKI is *not* getting a coaster for 2003 and not in the spot once occupied by King Cobra.
