Cheapest Coaster

Does anyone know what park has the cheapest coaster ever made, by this I mean the amount paid for installation??

Wasn't Joyland (Kansas) 's Roller Coaster made by PTC for $50,000? I assume you mean full size adult coasters.

The price of a coaster doesn't mean much. A coaster in the 40's or 50's that cost $50,000 would cost more today. You have to take the Inflation factor into account.

There's a looping coaster on www.italintl.com for $650,000.00, wouldn't be a bad touch to a small park.

$25 mil is actually steep for a coaster... A wooden coaster especially, and that was partially due to the additional structure needed for GhostRider due to its geographical location... As a matter of fact, that's the same cost as Millennium Force...

Anyway, the cheapest price tag for the most coaster I've ever seen would have to be the 3 mil for Holiday World's Legend... A true bargain by today's standards, especially considering the coaster's popularity.

Except that Ghostrider didn't cost anywhere near 25 million.

That sum was for the whole Ghostrider area, including the restructuring of the California Marketplace outside the park, and the whole Ghostrider midway inside the park (several shops, arcade, games, restaraunts)

Ghostrider cost a few million, the usual for a midrange CCI.

Raven was $2 million. Anton's Wildcat coasters are going for around $150k at the link that SFGAMDie Hard posted. King Cobra is still listed for $1.1 mill. Cliff's CCI is an even $2 mill. Most B&M's go for around $12m. Arrow loopers seem to be around $10m. Hypers at $15m. TA2K around $15. Tower of Terror and Superman: The Escape are $20m.

Pax's newest coaster designs are very cheap. Their Cobra models are a little over 1 million and their Scream model is around 3 million.. not bad for a pretty intense looking coaster.

It's tough to tell if anyone is being sarcastic or not through a computer without the little winking guy.

Bake 'em away toys.

Cheapest Coaster full size? Probably most CCI's are really cheap, and as for steel, look no further than Vekoma's boomerangs.... Cheep yet somehow a rip-off? Maybe, maybe not...

As for value coasters, definately Magnum XL? 8 Million? thats so cheap I wouldn't stoop over to pick the money off the ground! :)

Why do people line up for bad movies, simply for the fact that the words 'STAR WARS' are in the title?????

Ghostriders total cost was 25 million, but that included like 12 million to clear land and create an 3 acre extension of ghost town. the coaster cost 13 million, excluding all theming, and that is one expensive CCI. alot of the money was spent to protect the ride from collapsing in an earthquake, being .9 miles long, and being able to run 3 trains.

PAX coaster do look rather SWEET!

Six Flags paid only 1 million for The Flying Coaster. A good thing too, because it is not very reliable
