Security Guards?

Has anyone actually seen them arrest somebody or something? I've tried to watch them but they didnt do anything but walk around.

I don't think that they actually arrest anybody, but I think that crime and vandalism in the park is not as bad.

Security gaurds don't actually arrest people or even converse with people, they just walk around and get paid for it. Talk about a job!

RCT Downloads, Forums, and More!

That part seems a bit boring on RCT. I played a simular game known as Sim Theme Park and the gaurds on that game actually boot people out by taking them away in trash bags. I wish that game was more realistic then RCT. In some ways it is.

The RCT security guards remind me of something Gary Richmond wrote in his book A View from the Zoo: "As far as the keepers can observe, security just walks back and forth, drives back and forth, takes coffee breaks, and gets paid for it." That's basically what RCT security does too, except they only walk.

Yeah, they should make them like Cedar Point police...they are the only Police officers that I am afraid of.

Does it really matter that much. I mean the game is not centered on the security guards. Also CP police is for the park, yes, but also for the peeps who work and live there over the summer.SimThemepark was a game that just looked to fake for me, after playing RCT for a long time it's kinda hard to switch to STP, unless you suck at RCT of course.

They are worthless. I have them in my parks that have vandalism, and they don't do anything to remedy the problem. I just try to keep everyonw happy so that they are not needed.

Just like the security guards in my school, except these guys can actually protect property. Usually though, these guys are useless in a well run park. In the new Six flags copies, however...(j/k, please don't complain to me about how you think SF is perfectly good, so do I)

If I have a vandalism problem in my parks I go looking for litter. Keeping your paths clean is usually enough to keep your benches and trash cans intact.
